New Tasting Room, Willamette Valley

Willamette Valley, OR

BLENDING PIONEERING SPIRIT WITH MODERN TASTE  The design highlights the family’s role as one of Oregon’s earliest wineries with a new modern, warm and welcoming tasting room that brings guests and knowledgeable staff together in small, intimate groups.

CELEBRATING THE VINEYARD  Large floor-to-ceiling glass walls open directly to outdoor terraces to take full advantage of the tasting room’s location in the middle of the 230-acre estate vineyard.

MINIMIZING THE FOOTPRINT  Wanting to preserve the existing vineyard went hand-in-hand with a strong desire to minimize the project’s developmental impact on the land. As a result, the addition was reduced to the absolute minimum size and conceived as a two-story addition to the existing winery in a portion of the site not planted with vines.
