The future of architecture lies beyond buildings. Soon, cities will not only be made of static houses and roads, but also of virtual objects, augmented layers and social media overlays. Architects of the future will become the ‘User Experience’ designers for these cities, where virtual and physical are inseparable.

Describe how you see technology and design coming together in architecture:
In our own lifetime, the practice of architecture has evolved from pencil-on-paper, to drawing points and squiggly lines on a computer, to three-dimensional massing and building-information modeling. We are now on the verge of a technological tipping-point, where machine-learning algorithms will replace many of the repetitive and mundane tasks designers perform on a day-to-day basis. With that in mind, it is very important that today’s architects identify the specializations and roles that machines are not suited to replace. “Computer-Aided Design” is a thing of the past! The architects that evolve into this new era will work side-by-side with artificial intelligence, paving the way for “Machine-Assisted Creativity”.
