Describe how you see technology and design coming together in architecture:
In our own lifetime, the practice of architecture has evolved from pencil-on-paper, to drawing points and squiggly lines on a computer, to three-dimensional massing and building-information modeling. We are now on the verge of a technological tipping-point, where machine-learning algorithms will replace many of the repetitive and mundane tasks designers perform on a day-to-day basis. With that in mind, it is very important that today’s architects identify the specializations and roles that machines are not suited to replace. “Computer-Aided Design” is a thing of the past! The architects that evolve into this new era will work side-by-side with artificial intelligence, paving the way for “Machine-Assisted Creativity”.
