Chestnut Square Affordable Housing

Livermore, CA

ENHANCING COMMUNITY  Inter-generational affordable housing allows family and senior housing residents to share resources and relationships.

FILLING A CRITICAL NEED  Built in two phases, the community of 72 units for low-income seniors (including five units for formerly homeless) and 42 affordable family apartments, along with supportive services, provides much needed affordable housing close to transit and essential services.

INVITING AND WARM  A front porch provides a pedestrian scale along the street and reflects the single family neighborhood context across the street. A warm pallete of materials creates a welcoming new home for Livermore’s North Side District community.
