Sacramento Railyards is a residential mixed-use development located in the historic railyards district near downtown Sacramento, CA. The project consists of 277 residential units, associated amenity spaces, a four-level, 299 space wrapped garage, and retail spaces anchoring the corners at Railyards Blvd., the main thoroughfare on the north side of the project.
A six-story residential structure wraps the garage, and two wings, which are five stories each, extend towards the south side of the site. A building of 12 walk-up flats, three stories high, enclose an at-grade courtyard and face a bike path to the south. The courtyard contains a swimming pool adjacent to ground level amenity spaces. An amenity space and occupiable roof deck will be provided on the 6th floor facing the courtyard. There are residential units at the first level which are proposed to be set back from the property line to allow for stoops facing all four sides of the block.
The exterior materials consist of a thoughtful blend of cement plaster, brick veneer, and metal roofing and siding which subtly reference the historic railyard sctructures nearby.
