Bay Meadows Phase II, one of the largest mixed-use housing developments in the Bay Area, is a model for sustainable, smart growth. Located within walking distance from the Caltrain station, Bay Meadows is planned for approximately 1,000 units of housing, up to 1.5 million sf of office, 90,000 sf of retail and 15 acres of parklands. BAR was responsible for two 3- and 4-story mixed-use residential projects located at the heart of Town Square, and surrounded by Landing Green Park, as part of the Phase II development plan. BAR was responsible for both the architecture and the interior design of Quimby.
Quimby includes 70 units over a below grade garage with ground level retail spaces facing the Town Square, and a main residential lobby along Landing Green Park. Amenities include an outdoor spa, outdoor seating area with a fire pit and an outdoor BBQ area. Interior amenities include a small clubroom and fitness room. Quimby has also been designed to accommodate a future two-story office building above the below grade parking garage.
