Bay Meadows Phase II, one of the largest mixed-use housing developments in the Bay Area, is a model for sustainable, smart growth. Located within walking distance from the Caltrain station, Bay Meadows is planned for approximately 1,000 units of housing, up to 1.5 million sf of office, 90,000 sf of retail and 15 acres of parklands. BAR is responsible for two 3- and 4-story mixed-use residential projects located at the heart of Town Square, and surrounded by Landing Green Park, as part of the Phase II development plan. BAR is responsible for both the architecture and the interior design of this project.
Quimby includes 70 units over a below grade garage with ground level retail spaces facing the Town Square, and a main residential lobby along Landing Green Park. Amenities include an outdoor spa, outdoor seating area with a fire pit and an outdoor BBQ area. Interior amenities include a small clubroom and fitness room. Quimby has also been designed to accommodate a future two-story office building above the below grade parking garage.
The Russell includes 158 units and sits on a 3-acre below grade garage with ground level retail spaces to activate the Town Square, with a main residential lobby/leasing office on axis with Landing Green Park. The Russell will feature numerous outdoor amenities including a pool, outdoor kitchen, several seating areas with fire pits, a yoga platform and a petanque court. Interior amenities include a clubroom, fitness center and a large bike storage/work room with bike repair tools.
