Sun City Takarazuka in San Francisco Chronicle

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--"There's nothing about it that says either "retirement" or "institutional," remarks San Francisco Chronicle staff writer Susan Fornoff discussing Sun City Takarazuka's recent merit award from the International Interior Design Association.

The article, which appeared in the Chronicle's March 8th edition, provides insight on Japan's recent shift away from traditional family responsibilities associated with elderly care and the response to design resort-like hotel communities that provide abundant amenities and the ultimate in service. Working closely with interior design firm Babey Moulton Jue & Booth, BAR Architects served as the design architect of Sun City Takarazuka.
