Santana Row Grand Opening

Santana Row is a one-of-a-kind neighborhood that blends a distinctive mix of living, shopping and dining experiences.

Strategically located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Santana Row celebrated its grand opening November 7, 2002. Phase One features 538,000 sf of luxury and unique retail shops, an international array of restaurants and over 300 residential units. Life will be focused around a four-block main street, Santana Row. The development, among the largest in the country, will set a new standard for urban living and shopping in one of America's most prosperous and influential regions.

Working closely with Federal Realty Investment Trust, BAR Architects was responsible for the design of four of the eight city blocks of Phase One including spaces for retail, restaurants, residential lofts, luxury townhouses, offices, a parking structure and the development's central mechanical plant. Santana Row exemplifies an exciting mixed use, high-density infill development that is increasingly welcomed in our urband communities.
