BAR Architects Appoints New Associate Principals
SAN FRANCISCO, CA--BAR Architects announces the appointment of six new associate principals: Jeff Goodwin, AIA, Chris Haegglund, AIA, Mark Koester, AIA, Susan McComb, AIA, Gary Schilling, AIA and Earl Wilson, AIA.
Jeff Goodwin, AIA is a graduate of California Polytechnic Institute, San Luis Obispo. Jeff joined BAR in 1986 and has 15 years of experience in the design of residences, hotels, clubhouses, theme parks, restaurants, and wineries. Jeff is currently Project Manager on two wineries for Kendall Jackson and also manages the design team for the new Sharon Heights Clubhouse in Menlo Park.
Chris Haegglund, AIA graduated from California Polytechnic Institute, San Luis Obispo and has been with BAR since 1989. His experience in multifamily housing and commercial facilities has been instrumental in the design for Santana Row - a 46-acre mixed-use project in San Jose. Chris has over 15 years of experience designing restaurants, resort communities, film/theater facilities and wineries.
Mark Koester, AIA graduated from Portland State University and he joined BAR in 1995. He brings 18 years of diverse experience in commercial developments and housing of all types including market-rate and senior housing located throughout the United States and Japan. He recently assisted in the design of Avalon Towers on the Peninsula, a luxury residential high-rise in Mountain View and is Project Manager for the Sun City Senkawa - a luxury senior housing development located in Tokyo, Japan for Half Century More.
Susan McComb, AIA is a graduate of University of Texas, Austin and has 17 years experience designing multifamily and senior housing, mixed-use/commercial buildings, restaurants, retail, theme parks and master planning. She has been with BAR since 1989 and she currently manages the renovation and addition of the Bridgepoint Assisted Living project - formerly the Shriner's Hospital in San Francisco.
Gary Schilling, AIA received his Master's of Architecture degree from Yale University and has been with BAR for 10 years. He has over 20 years of experience in student, senior and market-rate housing, commercial facilities, resort and theme park projects. Gary is currently managing the North Park residential development in San Jose and most recently oversaw the design of the new residences for the Jesuit community at the University of San Francisco.
Earl Wilson, AIA, a graduate of the University of Oregon, has 17 years of experience and has worked on various projects ranging from wineries and resorts, to custom homes, residential developments, theme parks and film and theater facilities. Earl joined BAR in 1987 and since that time has been involved in the design of George Lucas's Skywalker Ranch and the recently completed Silverado Vineyards. He is currenlty Project Manager on a winery in Rutherford and custom homes in Los Altos and Pebble Beach.
