Our Culture
Where profession and passion unite.
Architecture is a fascinating blend of art and engineering. It's creative, complex and challenging—and we’re passionate about doing it right. Walking through our office on any given day you may encounter a project undergoing a sustainability charrette, one or more interns from a number of universities, teams collaborating on a “design café” and more. Visible in our office, the passion for our work also extends beyond our doors to the broader profession and community. Assisting in a neighborhood revitalization, participating in USGBC and the AIA’s Committee on the Environment (COTE) to our pro-bono endeavors designing a school in post-earthquake Haiti, start to give you an understanding of our definition of community.
One of only a few architecture firms certified as a San Francisco Bay Area Green Business, we are fortunate to be able to commit to the Public Architecture 1% pro-bono program that connects non-profit organizations with design firms willing to donate their time. Whether it’s through our philanthropic work or our formidable softball team, we’re a group that knows how to work hard and play hard. We value our professional contributions and approach design seriously, yet we promote a healthy work-life balance and foster a broader sense of community for all our employees.
