300 De Haro Street

San Francisco, CA

WHAT'S OLD IS NEW AGAIN  Referencing San Francisco’s Showplace Square’s industrial past and its utilitarian masonry buildings with regular punched openings, the architectural response approximates the neighborhood’s materiality, regularity and proportions. An irregularity in the façade subtly references the rolling hills of the San Francisco skyline.

A NEW WAY OF LIVING  Inspired by the gritty materiality of the historic neighborhood, natural materials including exposed concrete, weathering steel, zinc and brick are expressed in contemporary and formal expressions to simultaneously be timeless and timely.
