At the north end of the Napa Valley, between St. Helena and Calistoga, the Trinchero Winery features a new premium production winery, public and VIP tasting rooms and hospitality center.
Situated on a knoll within a natural oak woodland, three independent buildings were designed to form an outdoor courtyard and seamlessly integrate within the rural site and adjacent vineyard. Production Building: Upon arrival to the winery, guests walk through a central garden courtyard adjacent to the crush pad and then proceed to the 22,000 gsf production building housing the recently constructed fermentation tanks and barrel storage.
BAR reduced the visual impact of the building by setting it into the downward slope of the knoll, maintaining sensitivity to the character of the Napa Valley countryside. The new winery will also include an 8,500 gsf hospitality center, which is currently under construction. Created to house Trinchero’s internationally recognized wine and culinary education programs, the hospitality center will feature indoor and outdoor kitchens and dining, vinegar solera, woodburning ovens, reserve tasting room and cellar, and culinary gardens. A separate 7,500 gsf, one-story agrarian building will host the tasting room, public and private event space, and administrative offices. Large covered patios will flank the length of the tasting room to allow the public to take in the natural beauty of the surrounding valley.
