Old Sugar Mill

Clarksburg, CA

CELEBRATING BEAUTY OF INDUSTRIAL ARCHITECTURE  This 1934 beet sugar refinery was repurposed to host fifteen wineries. Ribbon skylights added between the buildings bring in light and emphasize the brick texture. Custom wood storefronts create a new pedestrian street, linking every custom-crush winery retail/tasting room with flexible space for wine and community events.

FORWARD-LOOKING  Durable materials, exceptional views of California’s Central Valley, close proximity to downtown Sacramento and unique architectural character combine to transform the 104-acre site into a vibrant, mixed-use development.

FIRST PHASE SETS STAGE FOR LARGER VISION  Initial construction focused on interior tenant spaces and outdoor areas for art exhibits, wine and music festivals, private celebrations and community events. Future phases of the master plan include additional retail, restaurants, boutique hotel, office buildings, live/work lofts for artists, single-family homes and senior housing facilities.
